Estos son los nominados a los Oscar 2021

Después de tener que correr su fecha a causa de la pandemia, al fin tenemos día y nominados para los premios Oscar 2021. La edición 93 del que seguro es el premio más cotizado del cine, se realizará el 25 de abril y la película con más nominaciones es “Mank” producida por Netflix. 

Pero el aporte más importante de este año es que por primera vez en la historia de estos galardones, dos mujeres están nominadas a la categoría de Mejor Director, Emerald Fennell (“Promising Young Woman”) y Chloé Zhao (“Nomandland”), cuyo largometraje es el favorito a llevarse el premio a Mejor Película. 

Otra noticia histórica es que, también por primera vez, un actor musulman y un surcoreano están en la categoría de Mejor Actor, ese es el caso de Riz Ahmed (“Sound of Metal”) y Steven Yeun (“Minari”). 

Lamentablemente, Latinoamérica no tiene una representación fuerte este año en los Oscar, el único largometraje que está compitiendo es el documental chileno “El Agente Topo”. 

Vale la pena resaltar que las plataformas digitales golpearon duro este año, con nominaciones importantes, sobre todo Netflix que encabeza la competencia con 18 producciones y 35 nominaciones.
